Saturday, November 19, was a very special date on the SMUS sporting calendar, as students, staff, alumni, parents and friends joined together for an evening of basketball and socializing. Appropriately, everything ran smoothly under the 2011-2012 theme of “one team.”
Simon Ibell ’96 Returns to SMUS

Simon chose his old high school to be the place where he officially launched his Ibellieve fundraising campaign to find a cure for Hunter Syndrome and related diseases. After years of advocating for better rare disease policy and promoting Right to Play, Simon is a veteran public speaker and he captivated students from Grades 4-12 with his insight, humour and candor.

The 5th annual Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament was held at the Victoria Golf Club on September 16, 2010. As a tradition, golfers’ swings are recorded during play, this year at the 7th tee overlooking the water. Part 1 includes Groups 7A, 7B, 6, 5, 4B, 3, 2, 1A, 1B, 18, 17B, 17A, 16, 15A.

Russian Dance on Alumni Weekend

Every year, the SMUS Alumni Weekend features student performers of many different backgrounds. This year, Russian student Anna Maeva decided to recruit and train a group of her fellow students to perform a traditional Russian Dance, with incredible results. The international troupe included boarders from Canada, the US, Mexico, and Germany.
